JLG Telehandlers New York
After spending many years working with his brother to build their crane manufacturing company into a leader of the industry, John L. Grove chose to retire. John as well as his wife Cora celebrated their retirement by going on a cross-country trip in their R.V. After that particular journey, JLG Industries, Inc. emerged and became the world's leading producer of mobile aerial work platforms and specialized material handling machinery.
John spent a lot of the time in the R.V. journey talking to prior business associates that the Groves were visiting on their journey. While they visited the Hoover Dam, tragically, 2 workers were accidentally electrocuted on scaffolding. Through following conversations, John saw a huge untapped market for a machine that could safely and quickly lift people into the air to be able to carry out construction and maintenance work.
John decided to take action when John and his wife returned from the journey. He began a partnership with two close friends when they purchased a small metal manufacturing business within McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. In 1970, with an original group of 20 staff, the trio built and sold the first JLG aerial work platform. Numerous components of the basic design elements of that very first equipment are still being incorporated into the present machinery
Ever since John L. Grove first came back into town from his cross-country trip, the company has come a very long way. They have dramatically grown ever since their first aerial work platform originally debuted on the marketplace. Even these days, JLG continues to expand into additional worldwide markets. A lot of innovative products are made to help clients be more effective and work safer.
JLG has remained devoted to being the leader in the industry. The business takes operator comfort into account really seriously. They attempt to deliver in performance, in addition to safety and overall comfort so that the operator can be as productive as possible.
