Heavy Forklifts
Hyundai is targeting a new customer base with their new array of heavy forklift trucks. Various industries, from the concrete and natural stone businesses, to the steel business, the transportation of heavy goods in the ports and the railway sector are all relying on and working with heavy duty machines. The power and efficiency offered by the units keep operational costs low and offer the best conditions for efficient work. These machinery can excel in the nearly all tough environments.
Providing the necessary power on all of the large capacity models, the Cummins diesel engine varies from 162 horse-power to 250 horse-power. TierIII emission standards are met with engines which have 6 cylinders. These models can take the truck up to a speed of 35 km/h. It can climb on steep slopes and rough terrain and also offers great acceleration.
To be able to choose 1 of 2 driving modes, the operator can use a switch. While in "Power" mode, full power is available for work on heavy loads or difficult terrain. In the "STP" mode, the trucks could save lots of fuel during light-duty work. Furthermore, just by pressing a switch, the operator can automatically maintain a selected speed without touching the accelerator pedal. This is an added fuel saving function. The fully automatic transmission of the forklift gently shifts through the gears, making the machinery comfortable to utilize and simple to maneuver.
A spacious and comfortable working place is offered by a well-ventilated cabin. The cabin combines fatigue-free work with high performance. The powerful air conditioning and heating system helps ensure the operator is comfortable inside. The cab was ergonomically designed to provide a bird's eye view of all of the controls, in addition to the overall safety of the unit. An MP3 player and a CD player put the finishing touches on providing the nice atmosphere which Hyundai machines are supposed to have.
