Telescopic forklifts
Telescopic forklift units are outfitted with a pronged lift on an arm which extends over the top of the truck offering great height and versatility. The crane, or arm, is called a telescopic boom. The boom enables the operator to lift the load to great heights while maintaining a high degree of control. Regular lift trucks could not move the cargo away from and towards the cab of the forklift, whereas a telescopic forklift could allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is usually utilized in both construction and agriculture. It is better for applications where greater control and lift is necessary.
A lift truck carton clamp attachments are better in situations requiring high volume carton handling. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings that allow the operator to utilize uniform clamping force when picking up a cargo. It is available with a backrest which protects the loads from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is used for storing systems that don't utilize pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This type of system is useful for intra-corporate deliveries and for overseas shipments.
A lift platform that is meant to raise personnel is called a Man Basket. It attaches to the forklift forks and a strap or chain is utilized to attach the basket to the lift truck carriage. The platform has railings to protect the workers from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are utilized for fastening the worker's safety harness.
