A reach stacker is a vehicle meant to handle the movement of containerized cargo in small and medium-sized terminals and ports. Reach stackers are truly ideal for quickly shuttling containers short distances and piling them in rows.

Reach stackers are a common choice for handling intermodal cargo containers because of their flexibility. They are capable of stacking higher than forklift trucks. With a reach stacker capable of second row access, container blocks can be kept four-deep.
