Rough terrain forklifts have been manufactured by CareLift Equipment, ever since 1962. Every day the company strives to deliver value and help their consumers reach their objectives as they know the bottom line is dependability and performance.
Boom lifts come in 2 general types, the articulated boom lift and straight boom lift. Both these units are normally powered hydraulically. Most commonly straight booms are the great choice for tasks that require a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the equipment could rotate three hundred sixty degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom could be vertically raised to below horizontal. As the operator can maneuver and steer the vehicle while the boom is fully extended, it is a very versatile equipment. These models are available in 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive, as well as propane, gas or diesel configurations.
Articulated boom lifts are utilized for lifting cargo up and over obstacles and gain access to areas which were otherwise unaccessible. These lift models perform tasks which straight telescopic booms cannot do. These lifts are almost identical to the straight boom lift in the majority of aspects except in the ability of the boom to articulate. There are different articulation points on the boom in order to enable it to bend in a variety of different directions allowing it to move around any objects easily in the work environment.
In order to maintain stability whilst the boom lift is fully extended, some heavy-duty boom lifts come outfitted with outriggers. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra confidence and safety. Correct training is necessary before operating boom lifts so as to ensure the operator, the jobsite and everybody working in the vicinity stays safe.
The boom lift allows for tasks needing many man power to be carried out in much less time. These equipment have changed the material handling industry and have really increased production.
