Seat Belts for Counterbalances
A kind of machinery that can carry loads that are approximately 30,000 lbs is a forklift. A forklift is also called a counterbalance. Despite being sturdy and big, these industrial machines still carry the possible risk of accident or crash. In order to be safe, be sure to have operators wear an appropriate seat belt in the forklift and check that up to standard safety features are also on board. People know that in the event of an accident, seat belts can save lives.
Three-Point Seat Belt
The kinds of seat belts that could extend both across the upper body and over the lap are the three-point seat belts. These belts offer an extra safety degree by protecting your body. They are available in both bucket-seat and bench-seat styles. The 3-point seat belts are available in either non-retractable or retractable kinds.
Retractable seat belts are normally utilized in most modern motor vehicles available. Although non-retractable kinds increase safety, retractable styles offer more comfort. It is not possible for a non-retractable seat belt to extend accidentally.
Lap belts
The type of seat belt that only extends over the lower part of the body is a two-point lap belt. Most lap belts are non-retractable and feature a push-button closure system. In order to secure the seat belt, just press on the belt button and the two sides would separate.
Circuit-closed seat belt
The type of seat belt which forces a forklift operator to put on a seat belt is a circuit-closed seat belt. These seat belts have a micro-switch attached which makes an alarm sound if an operator starts a vehicle and is unsecured by a seat belt. The circuit-closed seat belts are made in both retractable and non-retractable lap-band kinds.
