The S-boom telescopic booms made by Genie have been equipped with an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters and a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally than compared to other kinds of aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are engineered with consideration to being able to access tight areas during construction and industrial applications. They are also known for their ability to maneuver through a job site quickly and with great drive speed and traction. The platform hydraulically turns 160° and is able to stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators and are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters. 360° continuous rotating turntables offer quick, easy positioning for operators.
The Z-135/70 unit comes outfitted with a Jib-Extend, that is a telescoping jib. It extends from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This particular unit could also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach jobs which were inaccessible by typical jibs before. A secondary reverse-articulating boom on the Z-80/60 unit gives the user 8.83 meters of over and up reach. This feature allows up and over reaching tasks to be done with zero front arm swing.
The Fast Mast System built by Genie allows for time to be saved when both primary and secondary booms platform needs to either be lifted or lowered without needing to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system enables both booms to be fully raised simultaneously. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system reduces the time required for users to descend and ascend, increasing effectiveness and production.
