Narrow Aisle Forklift
Made to both lift and lower loaded pallets from storage areas which are high is a narrow aisle forklift. This particular kind is suitable for work environments with narrow spaces between aisles, like retail establishments or warehouses. The forklift has solid rubber, small tires that make maneuvering very easy.
Usually, the operator of this specific type of forklift stands up inside a small cockpit. The stand-up design enables the narrow aisle forklift to be as short and narrow as possible. A stand-up cockpit forklift usually has three tires: one in the rear, and two in the front. This design enables for fast and easy maneuvering. There are some models of these forklifts that come with a sit-down cockpit. The lift attachment is capable of pivoting to the sides, allowing the lift to be operated without the operator having to move the entire machine. The sit-down version usually has four wheels.
Numerous narrow aisle forklifts are powered by an electric engine. Electric-powered equipment are not noisy and do not produce exhaust fumes, making them the preferred choice for closed places such as retail spaces. Several lifts come with a gas engine or a diesel engine. Nevertheless, the diesel model is not suggested to be used indoors since it could be noisy and produce exhaust.
