Skyjack Boom Lifts

Skyjack Boom Lifts

Skyjack started to manufacture scissor lift platforms back in the year 1986. The company continued to make their product throughout the 1990s, becoming a world leader in the aerial lift business. Eventually, Skyjack grew to over 30% market share overall. Even today, the company maintains their dominance as a key player who has quickly adapted to the changing face of the industrial machine business.

Factors such as their commitment to reliability and quality have been important to Skyjacks solid reputation. They are known worldwide as being the maker of the best scissor lifts in the world. The Skyjack product line is sold and manufactured all around the world.

Skyjack was purchased by Linamar Corporation, LNR on the TSX in the month of August 2002. Linamar is recognized for being a leading manufacturer of modules, assemblies and precision-machined parts. Linamar's solid balance sheet provides Skyjack with long-term stability and increased strength overall. Skyjack currently has production facilities within the United States, New York and Hungary with support offices within Europe and Asia.

The company offers a comprehensive line of self-propelled scissor lifts. Some models have elevated work heights up to 56ft. Skyjack became a leader within the business by offering equipment features which combined durability, serviceability, quality and service, making Skyjack scissor lifts known all around the world for product dependability. The company's existing Boom lift model lineup consists of telescopic booms. These models provide telescopic booms which feature work heights varying from 45 to 71 feet. The company has plans to further expand the boom lift product line in the future.

The purchase of Volvo's Material Handling Equipment business during the month of August 2007 complements the products acquired in the purchase of Carelift Equipment. These acquisitions have enhanced Skyjack's Telehandler product offering in both the VR series telehandlers and the Boom Zoom series. These acquisitions provide the company a chance to grow with the additional manufacturing capacity. Skyjack continues to lead the way in the business, providing dependable lift solutions.
