Pecco Self Erect Cranes

The hydraulic truck crane is a specialized mobile crane that utilizes hydraulic power to lift and transport thousands of pounds. Hydraulics utilizes forces being transmitted through oil pushing on the boom's pistons in opposite directions so as to lift thousands of pounds. Hydraulic truck cranes are essential in constructing major projects like bridges, airports, streets and buildings. A crane could complete in minutes jobs which would normally take hundreds of men and lots of hours to accomplish.

The great equipments are commonly used in the construction of cities, houses, whole nations and individual buildings throughout the ages. Even the Great Pyramids in Egypt were likely constructed utilizing basic cranes to allow the heaviest materials in one of the most awesome construction projects of all time.

The first cranes were established in 3000 B.C. Egypt in the reign of King Ramses. This lifting mechanism was originally used to collect water. The very first official "cranes" appeared during Ancient Greece. These mechanism were utilized to create an entire nation throughout the 5th century B.C.

These cranes were originally made out of wood. The designs of cranes started to change when dockyards started to require stronger and bigger machinery. Hick & Rothwell developed the first cast iron cranes in the year 1834, within Bolton, England. This machinery was capable of lifting up to 2 tons. That same year, the addition of wire rope was added to the crane by an Official of the German Superior Board, Herr Albert Sr. The wire rope made the crane more durable and stronger. This addition enabled cranes to have a larger capacity to lift heavy weights.

Eventually, the wire ropes were weaved together in order to form an even more powerful strength. This wire formation also brought the added advantage of flexibility. Germany began to build cast iron cranes 4 years later. The first cast iron crane made by Germany was made in Neuburg.
