TCM Used Forklifts

The basic structure of the categorization of lift trucks comprise the following:

Standard Trucks: The standard lift truck is a rugged and durable unit and the most commonly used lift trucks in factories. Standard trucks can typically carry weights between 3,000 pounds to 4,000 pounds and their blades can lift cargo up to a height of 20 feet.

Reach Truck: The reach truck or narrow aisle lift truck are normally smaller, more maneuverable and operates mostly on electricity. These machines are specifically designed for pallet storage. They can lift loads up to 40 feet in height. If you desire lifting and unloading weights fast and over long distances, than a reach truck would not be the right alternative for your needs.

Order Selector: Very narrow aisle forklifts or order selectors could be utilized to move racked loads that are much smaller than pallet size. Order Selectors are unique in that they could raise both the cargo and the truck operator as high as 40 feet.

Motorized Pallet Trucks: The motorized pallet truck has been called by lots of names including: riders, walkies and walkie riders. These models are aptly named because of the fact that the driver is not required to sit inside of the machine to be able to operate it. Instead, the driver walks beside the truck as it moves the load.

Swing Mast Trucks: Swing Mast Trucks are similar in appearance to regular models of trucks. These are equipment with a narrow aisle and have masts that can swing up to 90 degrees, just in one direction.

Turret Trucks: The turret truck has been designed to operate in very narrow aisles. Like an Order Selector, they could raise the cargo as well as the operator. Furthermore, these trucks could swing their forks 90 degree on each side.

Go to your local forklift dealership to see all of these different models and determine what in particular will be best for your application. If you would like to rent before you purchase, this is a great alternative for you so you could check out different units before making such a huge purchase. Make sure you have a list of questions for your lift truck dealer and be honest about what the company's requirements are when you are discussing the facts with a knowledgeable dealer.
