Kalmar Reach Stackers

Kalmar Reach Stackers

Intermodal handling or IH unit reach stackers are more conventional equipment, while CH or container handling units are designed particularly for container stacking use up to 6-high and 3-rows deep. These various models allow numerous tasks to be finished.

Reach stackers are engineered and designed to create maximum space utilization in container terminals. Additionally, they offer unrestricted stacking capabilities, exceptional handling speeds and better maneuverability.

These machinery are made with standard oil-immersed brakes, a clean running, modern Diesel engine, advanced auto-shift transmission and strong drive-axle. These features all combine to be able to maintain maximum production and total dependability in tough applications during operation.

The engine and transmission protection systems combine to provide standard reliable operation, along with oil-immersed brakes. The operator cabs on these models feature various standard ergonomic features, as well as excellent container visibility in different operating situations. The units that have an increased wheelbase and stabilizers provide increased capacity handling. These machines require a solid frame and solid boom construction in order to handle the high capacity handling operation. Easy service and an engine shutdown function minimizes service cost and time and facilitates service access.

There are few locations which place such heavy demands on container handling as transport hubs, ports and terminals. These locations need extremely efficient and durable machinery. The company knows what it actually takes to be able to efficiently handle empty and laden containers for stacking, unloading and loading between terminal, road truck and railcar.

Empty container handlers are normally known to work at a high pace, with rigorous demands being placed on both efficiency and speed. Trucks based on the latest technology could lift and handle containers with the highest speed and stability.
