CAT Container Handlers

In order to effectively handle empty and laden containers for stacking in a safe manner, or loading and unloading between barge, road truck, railcar and terminal, CAT has engineered and designed numerous pieces of machinery to get the job done.

When equipped with a side-spreader or with forks, the container handler lift truck could stack as much as 5 containers. The cabin could be placed in 3 various positions to provide an optimal view and excellent safety.

There are container handlers that are engineered specifically to stack empty containers 8 high in a safe and secure way. The machine could be outfitted with a spreader for single handling or double handling. For the best visibility options, the cabin has been rear mounted.

Loaded Container Handlers
When working with loaded containers, the suitable lift trucks include the ones with the range of 28 to 52 tonnes capacity. These models are suitable equipped with mast-integrated gantries for mounting piggy-back attachments up to 5 containers high and for mounting top spreaders.
